Kidnapping Your Child Is NEVER the Answer
There's been an apparent rash lately of parents and grandparents making the ultimate and fatal mistake of taking the law into their own hands -- and kidnapping children from state custody, foster care, or the home of the other custodial parent.
I cannot stress it enough: This is never the answer.
It will backfire.
You will be caught.
It will torpedo your case.
The Hollywood scenario -- where the despised but righteous parent puts it all on the line and rescues the child only to be chased and hounded until the last act of the movie, when the parent is totally vindicated -- never happens.
If you find yourself even thinking about this possibility, go talk to your attorney immediately. Handcuff yourself to your sofa if you need to in order to prevent yourself from making such a huge mistake.
